As the State S&T Council of DST, Govt of India, GUJCOST has multi-faceted role that focus on encouraging scientific and research activities in industry and educational field along with Patent Information Centre and Intellectual Property Facilitating Centre for the State.

Education Qualification
Project Scientist II :
- Doctoral Degree in Science / Master Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent and 5 years experience in management of Intellectual Property Rights
- Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Registered Patent Agent
- Age : Should not more than 45 years till last date of Application
- Salary : Rs. 67,000/- + 9% HRA
Project Scientist I :
- Doctoral Degree in Science/ Master Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
- Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Registered Patent Agent
- Age: Should not more than 40 years till last date of Application.
- Salary : Rs. 56,000/- + 9% HRA
Project Associate :
- Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc, or Bachelors Degree on Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or Equivalent
- Desirable: Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights
- Age: Should not more than 35 years till last date of Application
- Salary : Rs. 31,000/- + 9% HRA
